YOGA
Hatha yoga practice emphasizing philosophy, breath work, and beginner/ intermediate postures. Students learn how to work with themselves in a loving way to restore health, release tension, increase strength and flexibility, assist injury recovery and backaches, improve circulation and create peace of mind. Format includes poses and exercises for strength and flexibility; breath awareness and relaxation practice to enhance concentration and reduce stress. A focus on dynamic and torso stabilization exercises for core integrity and balance.

When I first stepped on the mat in Stephanie's power yoga class I was all about thinking.I thought about my body. I thought about what it was and was not doing. What I thought I should do to make my yoga poses better. I thought about how I looked compared to others. After all thinking was the way I got anywhere in life.Stephanie's class has taught me it is not thinking or doing yoga that improves your practice but listening and being present . Being present isn't showing up 10 minutes before class starts. It is about being one with your body and letting it take the lead. My body is unique and Stephanie has taught me to honor it for what it can and cannot do on any given day. When I start to think on the mat I lose that deeper connection with my body and start fighting my pose instead of surrendering to my pose. When I listen magic happens and my poses feel right because my body is in control. She has not just change my relationship with my body but also with the world around me.
